Thursday Night Pottery

Thursday Night Pottery is the name Alma choose when she decided to start doing craft shows.

Alma Hayes-Belmont is a member of the Potters Guild of New Jersey and NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts). In addition to classes at the Wortendyke Studio and Rockland Center for the Arts, her education includes workshops with notable contemporary potters, including Kristen Kieffer and Leah Leitson. Alma’s wheel-thrown, and altered pottery brings a twist to functional ceramics.  Her work has been part of the 2009 Pottery Invitational Earth, Water and Fire at the Noyes Museum, and the 2010 NJ Arts Annual: Make Me Something Beautiful at the Newark Museum; she is also a frequent participant in the Potters Guild of New Jersey shows.

Alma’s heart is poured into the quality of her workmanship in every unique piece she creates. I want to purchase one of everything! If you want something in particular and do not see it on her website, she does her best to create it to your specifications. She is very accommodating and wonderful to deal with!!

Alma’s work is wonderful. She has unique pieces that are both decorative and useful. You can tell that she puts herself into her art/craft as each piece is unique and special to her. That is why I like her work so much.
